My name is Amanda Ghadban. I have always been interested in fitness and activity, participating in recreational sports such as touch football and volleyball, and attending the gym on a regular basis, but it wasn’t until I met Rowan, did I really begin to understand how to correctly train my body effectively.
In the last two and a half years, Rowan has helped me build a confidence in myself that I never thought I could achieve. Despite my efforts at trying to be fit and healthy, because of my lack of knowledge in this subject, I always found myself coming up short. This being said, I thought I knew what I was doing in the gym, and thought I was doing it correctly. I believed my main issue was my nutrition and my genetics. Oh how I was wrong. Rowan has taught me all I know about nutrition and how to listen to my body. I am now more in tune with what my body needs and how to achieve my goals of fitness and strength.
Before training with Rowan, my perspective of fitness and activity revolved around my esthetics. With every word that Rowan has discussed with me about strength and the positive consequences his coaching has on my present and future abilities, my perspective of fitness has adapted to a more holistic approach with a focus on strengthening my body and mind.
Ever since I began working with Rowan, I have lost 27 lbs, countless inches and have deadlifted over 200lbs! My long term goal is to pull 300lbs. I have learned that women should not be afraid of lifting weights in fear of “getting too big”, and that women who bench press will not “lose their breasts”. I feel stronger, I am faster and much healthier than I have ever been, and I owe it all to Rowan and his training system. It is unbelievable how much his support and knowledge as a coach can make a difference in a person’s life.
