“Rowan came highly recommended, and although I’ve only known him a short time, he’s taught me a lot about being the best version of me”
This is my story…
My name is Marian Hartwick and I am 24-years-old. This is my story…
I’ve had an “on-and-off” relationship with exercise for as long as I can remember. I would develop an interest in one form of cardio or another (weights were too intimidating), but I would eventually find some excuse, whether illness, injury, busy schedule, or just sheer laziness to break it off for a while. Then I would get lured back in with new exercise programs that seemed to require minimal commitment or minimal concentration. However, when I noticed the great results that my boyfriend was getting after seeing Rowan, I developed a curiosity for weight training.
When I first met with Rowan, he started by developing a new diet and exercise program that best fit my lifestyle. This time, exercise and I started off slow and got to know each other. In the beginning, although the weights were small, they were daunting. I got used to them, and then became comfortable with them. We developed a solid foundation and went from there. Even though exercise sometimes kicked my butt, I appreciated it. The effort I put into the exercise that exhausted me so much meant that I was developing a better relationship with it.
The sessions with Rowan got harder, and I started to use exercise as a way to test and push myself. As time passed, the one-on-one sessions became more than just a workout – they became fun! Whether it was my newly developed respect for weights or Rowan’s limitless enthusiasm and passion, I started to look forward to the time I spent in his gym.
Rowan came highly recommended, and although I’ve only known him a short time, he’s taught me a lot about being the best version of me
